Exhibition "What Were You Wearing" — Liceo Chateaubriand
Second stop at the school: the travelling exhibition against gender-based violence is set up directly by the student community, after the workshop run by the group.
Italy Group 002 · Lazio Circoscrizione
We meet in the heart of Prati, a stone's throw from the Vatican. We work on human rights education in schools, public events and national campaigns. We are open to anyone who wants to get to know us: come to a meeting, no commitment required.
Hotel Casa Valdese · Via Alessandro Farnese, Rome · Coord. Anna Gloria Pollacci
A regular rhythm alternating in-person and online, to balance participation and everyday life.
We meet from about 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the Hotel Casa Valdese, via Alessandro Farnese. It is the main meeting of the month: we plan, we decide, we get to know each other.
Between one in-person meeting and the next we meet online, for quick updates on work in progress and for those who cannot reach Prati.
Our meetings are open. If you want to understand how we work, come once with no commitment: write to us first so we can tell you where and at what time.
The work of an Amnesty group is not only "action": it is also analysis, internal training, the democratic life of the movement.
We discuss our events and those of the other Lazio groups: what to organise, how to set things up, lessons learned from past initiatives.
We compare news events with the positions and reports of Amnesty International. An informed reading, not a gut reaction.
Periods dedicated to the Assemblies of the Italian Section and the Councils of the Lazio Circoscrizione: the group brings its voice and its vote.
A selection of the most significant actions of Group 02 in recent months.
Three mixed classes, a participatory session on gender-based violence built with our EDU trainers. The experience will resume next month at the same school, this time with the travelling exhibition "What Were You Wearing" set up by the student community.
In December we organised an event dedicated to Amnesty's global campaign Write for Rights: a welcome aperitif and then a presentation, one by one, of the 5 cases chosen for 2025. The signatures collected fed into the international mobilisation.
The best ideas come from those who join now. If you are interested in human rights education, public events or the analysis of armed conflicts, there is room for your contribution.
The two events the group is working on over these weeks.

An afternoon of discussion on Amnesty International's approach to armed conflicts. Open to all groups of the Lazio Circoscrizione. Venue: Hotel Casa Valdese, via Alessandro Farnese.
Meetings, schools, public events: who we are and what we do.
Leave your details: we will write to you to tell you where and when we meet. The first visit is with no commitment.
